Frustrated travellers demand their money back: Travel chaos at terminal as all three ferries develop faults – (but engineers have now brought Johe back to life)

Frustrated travellers demanded their money back after spending hours at the ferry terminal in Banjul.

Travellers who made it to the ferry terminal in Banjul to get on the 6am ferry to Barra found that no ferry was in operation. A source told The Fatu Network engineers who were supposed to be at work did not turn up early sparking a six-hour chaos.

The managing director of Gambia Ports Authority told The Fatu Network engineers are currently working on the Johe ferry.

“All three engines have now turned on,” Ousman Jobarteh said, adding it’s now on its way to load.

Kanilai and Kunta Kinteh remain out of service. Two ambulances with patients are stranded at the terminal as a result.
