And when claims were put to him of UDP targeting Fulas, Mr Darboe said: “That is absolute rubbish. How will we target Fulas? It’s absolute rubbish.”

The UDP leader also dismissed claims UDP officials have been intimidating Gambians at voter registration centres across the country.

“I think those are false allegations,” Mr Darboe said.

According to Mr Darboe, he would cast his vote on December and then move to State House if he wants to.

“December 4, I will come here to cast my vote and then InshaAllah wait for the transition period to elapse and then move to State House, if I want to. I may not [move to State House]. After all, I was given an official residence here at Fajara but I didn’t go there. And it’s not unusual for that to happen. I know the Liberian president stayed in her home,” he said.

Mr Darboe registered in Pipeline accompanied by his wife and top aides.
