Police deny Gambia For Five Years a permit amid group’s war with IEC and Rohey Lowe

Gambia For Five Years and Peace-building has been denied police permit to stage a march to IEC on Friday to protest against Mayor of Banjul Rohey Malick Lowe.

The pro-President Barrow group has been protesting against both the IEC and Rohey Lowe over the mayor’s powers to issue attestation.

The group applied for a police permit to conduct a press briefing and a walk to Election House to deliver a petition to election officials.

But The Fatu Network has now understood the police have denied the group a permit due to security reasons.
