UDP leader Ousainou Darboe stated on Tuesday evening he was satisfied with the crowd that welcomed him in Basse.
“I thank you, I am very much pleased with the welcome we received here. The people of Baddibu said Baddibu will get 60%. I have not gone to Wulli yet, I have not gone to Kantora, I have not gone to Tumana yet, I have not seen Jimara yet. This is just Basse but I will give you 70%,” Mr Darboe stated.
UDP leader Darboe later warned that President Adama Barrow can never go into a crowd competition with him.
Mr Darboe said: “Mr President we don’t think boyish, we don’t think puerile. We are not in any crowd competition.
“We are in competition of ideas, we are in competitionof policies. But even if it were to be a competition of crowd, your crowd can never match my crowd.”
