Government spokesperson says ‘absolutely false’ claims of scrapping of face mask law

Claims the law around the wearing of face mask has been scrapped have been dismissed as ‘absolutely’ false.

There have been claims the public health emergency regulation around face mask and public gathering has been dismantled.

President Barrow’s deputy youth adviser told The Fatu Network the law no longer exists.

“That is absolutely false. In fact, in the wake of all the relaxations across the spectrum, facemasking becomes all the more relevant,” Ebrima Sankareh, government spokesperson told The Fatu Network.
