Gambia beat South Sudan 2-1 after Assan Ceesay first half penalties

The Gambia beat South Sudan 2-1 on Tuesday in a friendly international match played in Morocco.

Striker Assan Ceesay converted from the penalty spot twice in the first half to put Gambia on strong footing.

South Sudan fought back and pulled one back in the 87th minute after keeper Sheikh Sibi made a complete mess of a South Sudan free-kick.

The victory comes on the back of two defeats for The Gambia, one of them being Morocco who thrashed Gambia 7-2.
