Coronavirus: Sitrep captures death of fifth person as nation’s fatalities rise further to 14

The ministry of health said today five new Covid-19 deaths have been registered, hours after ministry of information officials confirmed four died of the virus.

An update by 3:00am today showed one more death taking to five the number of new deaths over the past four days – with the total death figure now standing at 14.

It comes as the ministry of health confirmed 173 new cases registered, over a period of 4 days, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases ever confirmed in the country to 671 cases.

This represents an average of 43 cases per day over the last 4 days, the health ministry added in its situation report (sitrep) No. 110.
