Police have arrested a homeowner after large quantity of cannabis was retrieved from his compound by officers.
Police spokesman Lamin Njie told reporters on Tuesday: “During the course of that investigation, in fact they realized it was some cannabis dealing that was going on around this area. And so eventually they were able to follow leads until they uncovered that metal bunker with quantities of cannabis.

“You have four bags of cannabis, with 29 bundles within those four bags that were hidden in that bunker in one of the compounds in Banyaka.
“Some two individuals were arrested in connection with this situation and they’re currently helping with investigations.”
One of the arrested suspects is a homeowner.
