President Adama Barrow has removed Yusupha Cham as his political adviser, sources close to the presidency have told The Fatu Network.

Mr Cham, a top member of the United Democratic Party, was fired from the post last Friday. The presidency is set to make an announcement of his replacement.

Cham’s removal comes after another top member of the United Democratic Party Almami Taal lost his job at the Organisation of Islamic Conference national secretariat. Taal’s termination was contained in a letter that emanated from the presidency.
