UTG students chanted ‘enough is enough’ on Friday as they took to streets to demand an end to lecturers and management of the university taking them for a ride.

The protest comes amid UTG management and staff locked in a bitter dispute over the way the UTG should be run. Students have been seriously affected by the crisis as staff have refused to go to work.

During the protest, the students made key demands including reduction of tuition fee, buses, resolution of missing grades and immediate expulsion of all underperforming lecturers.

On the issue of underperforming lecturers getting sacked, the students’ president Ousman Jassey said: “Because we need quality, reception and relevant education.”
