Former President Yahya Jammeh has again addressed his supporters this time telling them President Adama Barrow did not win the 2016 election.
“In fact in 2016 they didn’t win the election. They rigged the election with the support of some powers,” Mr Jammeh told his supporters at a rally in Gunjur on Saturday via telephone, as picked live by Gambian Talents Promotion.
Jammeh had on October 15 shocked the nation by calling from his Equatorial Guinea hideout to sack the leaders of APRC for entering into an alliance with NPP. He said he did not approve of the marriage.
The Fabakary Tombing Jatta executive however held a press conference this past Thursday where they insisted they remain the leaders of the party and warned the breakaway group against using APRC’s name in their activities.
