Senegalese army seizes more rebel bases in Casamance

The Senegalese army has seized five new rebel bases in Casamance, local media have reported.

The Senegalese military in a press release on Sunday said five rebel bases belonging to MFDC fighters were taken, according to Senego. The bases were in Ahinga, Badem, Bagam, Bounick and Djileor.

Senegalese soldiers led by top officer Souleymane Kande have been battling rebels in Casamance in recent months.
