According to the chairperson of Rotary District 9101 sub-committee on malaria Dr Emma Bruce, the donation came about after the National Malaria Control Programme approached her institution for assistance.

“The fogging machines are finally here. These fogging machines was a direct request to our sponsors from the National Malaria Control Programme in 2019 to provide two fogging machines for outdoor insecticide spraying in the streets of Banjul, KMC and beyond,” she said.

Bala Kandeh program Manager National Malarial Control Programme The Gambia thanked the donors for the efforts and urged other partners particularly the private sector to come forward and support his programme.

The launch ceremony was held on Thursday in Kanifing attended by the First Lady of The Republic of The Gambia.
