Police arrest 60 more suspected criminals

Police said Monday night they have arrested 60 people as their Operation Zero Crime campaign intensifies.

Police said: “A total number of 60 people were arrested at various criminal hideouts. Among them 5 are non Gambians. Number of people arrested per region: Banjul Region, 16; Kanifing Region 25; West Coast Region, 19.

“Offenses: going armed in public, assault causing actual bodily harm, possession of suspected drugs, possession of suspected stolen properties, idle and disorderly manners, attempt to commit felony, breaking and stealing, among others.”
