PDOIS in celebration mode as popular anti-FGM campaigner Jaha Dukureh joins party

Prominent anti-FGM campaigner Jaha Dukureh has joined PDOIS, a development that came three days after the party’s impressive congress.

Jaha Dukureh is well known around the world for her stance against female genital mutilation, with her work taking her to as far as the United Nations.

The Safe Hands for Girls chief reacting to her decision on Wednesday by sharing PDOIS’ Facebook public group statement with the caption: “It’s about putting Gambia first and national interest.”
