Senegal opposition leader Ousmane Sonko on Wednesday visited a hospital in Dakar where a supporter of his who got injured in Monday’s protests is receiving medical care.
Sonko has been sweating after a beautician accused him of repeatedly sexually assaulting her. The politician has denied the allegations.

His supporters on Monday clashed with police after they converged at his house in Dakar in show of support.
The woman said the PASTEF leader allegedly sexually assaulted her during the politician’s massage trips to a massage parlour where she works.
Police have been trying to interview Sonko but the politician who is a member of parliament says an immunity protection bars it.
