At least four members of parliament who are also members of the National People’s Party have arrived in Njaba Kunda as part of a huge voter engagement exercise.
MPs Saikou Marong, Fatoumatta Jawara, Omar Darboe and Alhagie Jawara have travelled to Badibu along with other top NPP officials including President Barrow’s political adviser Siaka Jatta.
MP Saikou Marong who represents Latrikunda Sabiji told The Fatu Network they are in Badibu for grassroots politics. They will also be in Nawlerr.
Their trip to Njaba Kunda is however the one that will attract attention as it comes a week after UDP held a huge rally in the village.
The MPs were all members of UDP but were sacked from the party due to their overt support of President Barrow whom UDP has fallen out with.
