The National Water and Electricity Company has issued a statement saying the Kanifing feeder has developed technical issues and was being isolated.
According to NAWEC, the “Kanifing Feeder did develop some technical issues late yesterday night and is being isolated for troubleshooting and repairs”.

“As a result the following areas will experience power outage pending the completion of the works:
Mazda, Gacem, Banjul Oxygen, GTTI, Nyambai, Jeshwang East and the surrounding.
“We thank you for your usual understanding. The team will endeavor to complete the repairs as soon as possible and restore service. We apologize for the inconvenience,” NAWEC said.
