Internet goes down in Gambia again

Internet went down in The Gambia again on Tuesday disrupting work in all sectors of the economy.

Internet last Tuesday went down in the country lasting six hours, causing major disruptions. President Barrow could not attend the ECOWAS videoconference meeting because of the internet outage.

A similar nationwide outage began on Tuesday February 9 and lasted over eight hours. Service provider Africell said it was due to an outage on the ‘backup’ cable.
