The ministry said in a statement on its official Facebook page: “We hereby inform the public that this information is totally false, Misleading and taking out of context. It is in no way represent the view of Ministry of Health.

“The Director of Health and Education at the Ministry of Health made it categorically clear in his interview on GRTS Gambia This Morning, that the suspects in question do not meet COVID-19 Case Definition criteria.

“The Ministry of Health would like to inform the public that there is no need for panic or alarm.”
