Fatoumata Jallow- Tambajang, the acting Vice President and Minister for Women Affairs has told flood victims that The Gambia government under the leadership of President Adama Barrow, is ready and committed to help rebuild Kaur with the participation of the people.
Madam Jallow Tambajang, accompanied by Ministers and other government officials, visited Kaur town which was affected by floods. The purpose of the visit was to access the level of destruction and to show solidarity to flood victims.
She said they have looked at some of damages caused by the flash floods adding that it is really in a bad shape. “President Barrow is very concerned, he has exercised lot of patience and leadership.”
The acting vice president disclosed that they bought food and none food items for the community and handed over cash to the flood victims.
The delegation also visited Kuntaur.
