Government invites buyers as Japan donates ‘high-quality’ rice to Gambia

The Gambia government said on Thursday it is expecting a delivery of more than 3000 metric tonnes of what the government calls ‘high-quality’ rice which will be put for sale to interested buyers.

The rice comes in bags of 30 kilograms clearly marked ‘Japanese Grant’ and shall be sold in lots of 2500 bags per lot at the cost of Four Hundred and Fifty Dalasi (D450.00) per bag, State House said in a statement.

All interested buyers are requested to apply and send applications to Secretary General Office of the President.

All applications must be received not later than 2nd June 2021, State House added.
