Government cancels charges against journalists – as it also discontinues closure of radios

The state has dropped charges against four journalists who were arrested during operation three Years Jotna protest last month.

Two radios stations, Home Digital FM and King FM, that were shut while broadcasting the protest would also resume operation today, says Justice Minister Tambadou.

The broadcast houses were closed by security personnel without following due process. And authorities came under heavy criticism for the way and manner it handled the issue.
