UDP leader Ousainou Darboe’s high school classmate Fodeh Baldeh has said the UDP leader’s name in high school was ‘Abubakar’.
Mr Darboe over the weekend swore his father named him Abubakar as he responded to critics who have accused him of changing his identity.

Veteran journalist and author Fodeh Baldeh writing on Monday said: “Last week, ANMO Darboe, the standard-bearer of the United Democratic Party assured Gambians that ‘Abubakar’ has always been part of his name.
“At Saint Augustine’s Secondary School and Gambia High School (Sixth Form), where we were schoolmates and classmates respectively, this legal luminary was known as ABUBAKAR.”
