The Independent Electoral Commission has gotten a new deputy IEC chairman in Joe Colley its erstwhile communications director.

The IEC has been combing for a new deputy chairman since the resignation of Malleh Sallah last year.

The appointment of Oreme Joiner last year backfired after it emerged he was a member of President Barrow’s National People’s Party.

The country’s electoral body now has a new deputy chairman in Joe Colley.

Colley confirmed his appointment to The Fatu Network and said it came on Tuesday in a letter. His appointment came from the president.
