Amie Bajo’s fundraiser raises nearly one million as Abubakary Jawara and others all donate big

Amie Bajo’s kidney transplant in India is on track after a fundraiser set up in her name raised nearly one million dalasis.

The Fatu Network advised the 21-year-old to set up a fundraiser after she was led to the outlet’s office by her colleagues at the university.

Her fundraiser has now raised nearly one million dalasis of the 1.2 million dalasis nearly for her to undergo kidney transplant in India.

The Fatu Network understands businessman Abubakary Jawara donated D100,000 while Arab Gambia Islamic Bank donated D75,000.

Amie is still seeking support and anyone who wishes to help save the life of the young girl can reach out to her family or colleagues at the university.
