A 60-year-old man has tested positive for coronavirus following a trip to Senegal and evading quarantine, the ministry of health said on Wednesday while confirming another 60-year-old has also tested positive for the virus.
The ministry of health said: “Case 062 is Gambian male, 60, who evaded quarantine after returning from Senegal only to surface at Essau District Hospital a couple of weeks later with symptoms similar to those of COVID-19. He has since been admitted at the said hospital. A sample was collected from him on July 6th and a positive test result returned on July 7th.
“Case 063 is a Norwegian female, 60, who arrived in the country by an SN Brussels flight on the 3rd July.
“Her sample was collected on the 6th of July and she tested positive for COVID-19 on 07th July.”
