Leader of the dead Three Years Jotna group Abdou Njie has taken his new car to UDP leader Ousainou Darboe for him to give his blessing and officially present it to him.
Abdou Njie oversaw what is now a failed campaign of ending President Adama Barrow’s rule in 2019. His group, Three Years Jotna, was later banned from ever operating in The Gambia.
On Wednesday, Mr Njie who is a strong UDP supporter was at UDP leader Darboe’s house in Pipeline with his new vehicle.
He told UDP media-guy Camaraba it was rich UDP supporter Alhagie Conteh who gave him money to buy a car.
He said: “We had a mission of travelling around the country and there was no car. I told him and he called his people to give me a cheque but the cheque was not there at the time. He said I should return at 2pm and when I returned, he counted money and gave it to me to buy a car. He just gifted it to me and I thank God.
“We went to him to show it to him and then we came to the party leader to show it to him too who sent AmADOU Sanneh for him to present the key.
“We thank God and we pray for him (Alhagie Conteh) so that he would succeed against this bad government just as Prophet Musa succeeded against Pharoah.”
