United Democratic Party leader Ousainou Darboe has dismissed reports he has died, calling those who spread the reports as bad citizens from bad parties.

Reports were circulated on social media Wednesday of UDP leader Darboe passing away.

But Mr Darboe told Pa Modou Bojang over telephone in an audio that has been shared online: “They are just desperate but a human being regardless of whatever religion you are, this is not a good behavior.

“It shows the people who did this, the party they belong to are bad parties. You don’t wish anything for someone other than death? You pray for someone if you hear he is sick.

“These people are not people with good behavior. These are bad citizens. But I am here and nothing has happened to me. I just returned from African Princess Hotel where I had a meeting with former Ghana president John Mahama.”

Mr Darboe has however been recovering from home following an injury he sustained during campaign in Jarra.
