All 43 candidates in The Fatu Network’s Heroes Awards 2019 have accepted their nomination, the awards committee has said.
The awards committee of the awards last week shortlisted 43 candidates of individuals and organisations for the 2019 edition out of 1527 entries.
Voting was supposed to begin on Monday 24 February but got delayed due to the incompletion of approval from all the shortlisted candidates. All 43 candidates have now approved their nomination and voting will commence soon ahead of the awards night on 14 March – and eleven categories are up for grabs.
The TFN Heroes Awards is established by The Fatu Network, the leading online news provider in The Gambia. The Awards recognize and celebrate Gambians who have offered invaluable service to the country and to their communities.
