President Adama Barrow has told the people of Kiang to be alert to the advances of people who come to them talking rubbish.
Speaking in Kiang Kaiaf on Wednesday evening, the president said certain people have been going to Kiang telling the people they will never get electricity.
The president said: “I believe the issue of electricity is now clear. The foolish people who come to tell you nonsense things, your own son (Fafa Sanyang) has clarified things in terms of our electricity programme.
“Those fighting are doing it for themselves. We don’t want those people to waste your time. They had said electricity will not come to Kiang, so I do not know what they are telling you today.
“They have been coming to you to say you will never get electricity. So when they come to you saying such things now, make light of those statements and let that person know he doesn’t mean well for you.”
