Police grant Gambian Women’s Lives Matter permit undoing their earlier decision of denying group permit

Police have issued a protest permit to Gambia Women’s Live Matter, a movement seeking to support Gambian women regarding their health.

Police had last week denied the group a permit to protest against women dying at child birth.

A top official of the group Mballing Cham confirmed to The Fatu Network they have now been issued a permit.
