Officials of the National Association of Gambia Nurses and Midwives a few days made some shocking revelations about their condition of work.

In a post shared on the social media network Facebook, Nyang Njie urged the government to focus on what he describes as the soft side of development especially on health, education and standard of living.

“After watching the video of Health care workers lamenting their condition of work, I am of the view that Mr. Samateh must tender his resignation in the interest of the nation considering the appalling nature of the Health sector.

“Equally, the Government must look into the issues raised by the Health care workers. Mr. President development is multi-facetted, and your focus has been on the hard side of development (roads, bridges etc.). Kindly focus on the soft side of development (our Health care, education and standard of living). These are the building blocks of nation building,” he said.
