Ousainou Darboe has said that nothing will stop the United Democratic Party from forming the next government.
The UDP leader stated this on Saturday while declaring open the party’s national youth congress. The United Democratic Party youth wing on Saturday held a congress in Gunjur, Kombo South to pick a new national executive.
Mr Darboe said: “Nothing will stop the UDP from forming the next government or at least from influencing the next government. Well, wrestlers are getting many and it’s possible coalitions will be formed. But to you UDP youths, I want to task you…
“There will be women’s congress too because the party belongs to the youths and women. UDP’s target is not 51 percent, more than 51 percent. That should be UDP’s target for the next election and you have to start working for that now.”
