Dr Ismaila Ceesay has stated he is excited to rise up to the challenge after members of Citizens’ Alliance nominated him to become their presidential candidate in next year’s presidential elections.
“I thank every member of Citizens’ Alliance and those in the party who nominated me to be the Presidential Candidate for the 2021 elections,” Dr Ceesay wrote on Wednesday.
He wrote further: “I am super excited to rise up to the challenge. I am also looking forward to working with every Gambian and every friend of The Gambia to uplift our country.
“The road to restoring the dignity of the people of The Gambia might be paved with stumbling blocks, but it is worth driving through.
“This is possible with your support, the support of every Gambian who believes in allying the wisdom of our patriotic seniors to the potential of the youths and our generation to bring the effective change and the development all successive governments are yet to achieve since 1965.
“The Gambia we want is near. Change is here!”
