Mama Kandeh, Gambia Democratic Congress leader has expressed satisfaction with the way journalists in the Gambia are operating.
“I belief that Gambian journalists are doing a tremendous job, they need to be commended because they deserve a commendation.
Kandeh said he appreciates the move that the media practitioners in the country are doing by giving accurate information to the general public.
“When it comes to information Gambians rely on you (journalists) and I have to thank you all for that.”
Kandeh who served as National Assembly Member, for Jimara constituency under APRC, said when he was at the National Assembly, in one of the debate, he mentioned that before you empower somebody, you have to enlighten the person first.
“The person has to know what his or her right first is, and then you can talk about empowerment because information is power.”
