Hamat Bah has called on all Gambians to board President Adama Barrow’s bus before it gets full, saying the president was on course to winning the 2021 presidential election.

Speaking at President Barrow’s meeting in Essau on Monday, the tourism minister said he had warned Gambians the president wasn’t going to leave office in three years – which he suggested has since come to pass.

Bah said: “I had told you in 2018 that Adama Barrow will serve for five years, not three years. Some doubted me. There were some who went and formed an organisation called Three Years Jotna. I told them Adama Barrow is here [and not going anywhere] and Adama is here [with us] sitting.

“I want to tell you this one too: in 2021, Adama Barrow will win in a way which has never happened in the history of The Gambia. So before the bus gets full, you should come and board the bus. If it’s about the interest of The Gambia, come and enter this bus.”
