Lamin Jobarteh has joined United Democratic Party and has been welcomed by UDP leader Ousainou Darboe for rejoining the UDP.
“I want to tell Babadinding Jobarteh welcome back to the United Democratic Party. You said it all that they is no family dumpsite. You refuse to have people choose your own relative without you and you regret. But I want to thank you for the hospitality you accorded by guests,” Darboe said while welcoming the former justice minister.
Mr Jobarteh served as justice minister during former president Yahya Jammeh’s rule. In February, he appeared before the TRRC where he pushed back at claims by former rebel commander Balo Kanteh that he cut his nipple.
“I did not touch his nipple talk less of cutting it,” he said while pushing back at Balo’s allegations.
