A European married to a Gambian for 10 years has expressed anger over The Gambia’s lacklustre approach to the deadly Coronavirus.
Coronavirus which causes pneumonia first emerged in China’s Wuhan city in December last year and has killed thousands of people. The virus has now spread to almost every continent across the globe, as scientists continue their search for a cure.
A European married to a Gambian for 10 years has now expressed frustration over the way The Gambia is dealing with the issue.
“The world is in uproar about Coronavirus yet you have Chinese freight ships coming in and out, not being checked,” he told The Fatu Network.
He added: “Countries are stopping Chinese ships entering their port. I will tell you this now, don’t come crying when you all start dying.”
Wuhan, the epicentre of the killer virus is home to 20 Gambians most of them students, and the Gambia government earlier this month gave the stricken citizens over D500,000.
