Jatta replaces Yusupha Cham who was fired from the post last Friday.

Cham, a senior member of the United Democratic Party, was sacked days after another top member of the United Democratic Party Almami Taal lost his job at the Organisation of Islamic Conference national secretariat. Taal’s termination was contained in a letter that emanated from the presidency.

The new political adviser to the President Siaka Jatta was until the time of his appointment the deputy governor of West Coast Region.
