Young Islamic men who won admiration last week after they embarked on a charm destroying exercise at Faji Kunda cemetery have attacked a baobab tree riddled with charms.
The tree located in Tallinding near the river is mostly used by believers in black magic to bury charms given to them by sorcerers.
But the Islamic scholars and students who destroyed charms that were discovered at Faji Kunda cemetery last week have come to the tree’s rescue.
A video on Thursday saw them destroying the charms that have been buried in the hugely abused tree.
