Alaji Jawo has dismissed reports of switching to National People’s Party.

NPP supporters circulated photos and an audio of Jawo saying he converted to President Barrow’s party.

The GDC youth leader told The Fatu Network on Wednesday the reports are false.

“I never left GDC. They came to me and said I have been invited to meet President Barrow. I honoured the invitation and spoke there but my comments were misrepresented to mean I joined NPP,” Jawo said.

According to Jawo, he is however thankful to the government over the support he received from it after he wife gave birth to triplets at Bansang hospital on New Year ’s Day last year.

“But despite this support, I can never leave GDC. The party and Mamma Kandeh have done so much for me,” Jawo said.
