Touma Njie announces herself: Banjul South MP says she will run for PPP top job

National Assembly Member for Banjul Touma Njie has announced her candidature for the coveted role of secretary general and party leader of People’s Progressive Party.

PPP announced over the weekend it will hold a congress later this month to choose its new set of leaders.

And Touma Njai in announcing her candidature on Monday said: “I shall be running for the SG and party Leader of the PPP. Vote for change.”

She could be running against current interim leader of the party Kebba Jallow.
