State House announces President Barrow will swear in new public officials – but there’s no trade minister among them after choice Bakary Jammeh turned down the job

State House said on Wednesday President Adama Barrow will swear in new public officials on Thursday.

The president last week removed two ministers – trade and youth – and hired fresh hands. The trade ministry however remains unfilled after the president’s choice Bakary Jammeh turned down the job.

State House however said on Wednesday the president will preside over the swearing in of the new youth and sport minister, two supreme court judges, President of the Court of Appeal and the Judicial Secretary on Thursday.

It’s believed the president will now be on the hunt for a new man for trade minister.
