A boyfriend will join his girlfriend in quarantine after he helped the woman escape the procedure.
Four people fled quarantine following their arrival into the country via an SN Brussels flight last Monday.
Among them is a woman who the ministry of health said escaped after getting help from her boyfriend.
The head of quarantine unit at the ministry of health Dr Buba Manjang said two of the escapees have returned to quarantine.
“One surrendered. The other one is the girl who was helped by her boyfriend to escape. A neighbour informed us and we were able to get them,” Dr Manjang said.
According to Dr Manjang, the boyfriend has been taken to police and charged. He would join his girlfriend in quarantine after finishing at the police, he added.
The top health official also said another of the escapees has called and said he would surrender.
