President Macky Sall inoculated with Chinese COVID-19 vaccine

Senegalese President Macky Sall received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by China’s Sinopharm in the presidential palace on Thursday.

Several members of the government and presidential office staffers were also vaccinated.

Addressing the nation afterward, the Senegalese president said that he wanted to emphasize that all people over the age of 60 should be able to be vaccinated.

He said that he and members of the government wished to set an example. (CGTN)
