The National Assembly Member (NAM) for Jimara Constituency, Honorable Alhagie Sowe, newly elected GDC Councillor for Julangel Ward, Ebrima Manneh and two Alkalols (Village Heads) were charged with post election violence at the Basse Magistrates’ Court.
It is reported that the NAM for Jimara was slammed with incitement of violence while his colleagues are charged with common assaults. They all plead not guilty and were reportedly granted bail in the sum of fifty thousand dalasi (50,000). The matter was subsequently adjourned till Tuesday, April 17 for hearing.

Meanwhile, the police spokesman has reported that the police are looking out for other suspects.
