Jammeh asks his supporters to work with GDC

Former President Yahya Jammeh has given leave for his supporters on the ground to work with opposition Gambia Democratic Congress.

“We’re going to stun the nation. We are going to reconcile the nation. For GDC, Yahya Jammeh has approved for us to work with them. Because GDC are a kid from the APRC,” No Alliance Movement spokesman Pa Modou Mbowe told Star FM’s Pa Nderry Mbye on Monday.

Jammeh’s supporters have already thrown their weight behind GANU leader Sheikh Tijan Hydara.

On Monday, a GDC delegation was spotted at No Alliance Movement leader Jerrending Sanyang’s house sparking speculation GDC is planning a partnership with Jammeh’s supporters.
