The chairman of the IEC Alieu Momar Njie announced on Saturday Dr Ceesay has not complied with Section 42(2)(a) of the Electoral Act in that he submitted support of nomination of less than 200 registered voters from Banjul. The law says you must submit at least 200 from each region.
Dr Ceesay is one of 15 candidates who have been disqualified.
