Comedian Baba Jah launched an extraordinary attack on UDP leader Ousainou Darboe branding him the country’s ‘one’ problem.
Baba Jah real name Ebou Bah was invited to speak at President Barrow’s meeting in Banjul on Saturday where he stayed true to his loathing of the UDP leader.
“Please don’t do it,” Hamat Bah walking to Jah at the podium asked Jah. Saihou Mballow then walked to the podium and said the comedian should speak. .
“They called me behind and said I should not talk about Lawyer Darboe issue,” Jah had said.
“We have only one problem in this country and that is UDP and Lawyer Darboe. It’s enough. It’s Lawyer Darboe who stood here and said Adama Barrow is a prophet but now he’s the one standing and saying Adama Barrow is a thief.
“He had said it was Adama Barrow who was managing UDP’s finances, that if you give him D10 to keep he gives back D15. So if that person stands today and say Adama Barrow is a thief would amaze me,” he said in his speech.
The dramatic moment saw Siaka Jatta also begged Jah to stop but Alkali Conteh disagreed asking the comedian to continue speaking his mind.
Jah had recently arrived in the country from the United States where he is based.
